The number of homes in the Active status is down to 308 homes for this time period in September 2011 compared to 426 homes for the same time period in 2010 representing a 27.70% decrease. The number of homes in the Active status has decreased 0.96% compared to last week (311).
The number of homes in the Pending status is up for this time period in September 2011 with 209 homes compared to196 homes for the same time period in 2010 representing a 6.63% increase. The week-to-week number of homes in the Pending status decreased 5.86% from last week. (222)
The number of homes that Closed Escrow September 2011 Month-to-Date has increased 42.86% over last year with 80 in 2011 homes compared to 56 in 2010.
SEPTEMBER 2011 MONTH-TO-DATE CLOSED TRANSACTIONS:
- Belmont had 7 Closed Transactions. Three had a Sales Price over $1,000,000.
- Burlingame had 12 Closed Transactions. Five had a Sales Price over $1,000,000.
- Foster City had 6 Closed Transactions. One had a Sales Price over $1,000,000.
- Hillsborough had 6 Closed Transactions. Five of those six had a Sales Price over $2,000,000. Three of those four had a Sales Price over $3,000,000.
- Redwood Shores had 4 Closed Transactions. Two had a Sales Price over $1,000,000.
- San Mateo had 45 Closed Transactions. Ten of them had a Sales Price over $1,000,000.
There were 80 total reported September Month-To-Date Closed Transactions in these six communities.
- 56.25% of the Closed Transactions (45) were in San Mateo.
- 15.00% of the Closed Transactions (12) were in Burlingame.
- 08.75% of the Closed Transactions (7) were in Belmont.
- 33.75% of the Closed Transactions (27) had a Sales Price over $1,000,000.
- 06.25% of the Closed Transactions (5) had a Sales Price over $2,000,000.
- 03.75% of the Closed Transactions (3) had a Sales Price over $3,000,000.
37.50% of the total September Month-To-Date Closed Transactions (18 out of 46) sold for the List Price or more.
PROPERTIES “IN CONTRACT” SEPTEMBER 2011 MONTH-TO-DATE:
The following are some numbers from a survey that I don’t post in a spreadsheet or chart on this blog, but review with my office at our weekly sales meetings. Each week I do a report on “What has sold?” This survey represents all the properties in all Pending statuses and Sold status that have a reported “Sale Date” from the beginning of the month in each of the communities I survey. This information gives us a better indication of what types of properties and price ranges that are currently selling.
- Belmont had 12 sales ratified. Four of them had a List Price over $1,000,000.
- Burlingame had 12 ratified sales. Five of them were listed over $1,000,000.
- Foster City had 9 ratified sales. Seven were listed over $1,000,000.
- Hillsborough had 11 ratified sales. All eleven were listed over $1,000,000. Seven of those eleven had a List Price over $2,000,000. Three of those seven had a List Price over $3,000,000. One of those three had a List Price over $4,000,000.
- Redwood Shores had 5 ratified sales. Two had a List Price over $1,000,000.
- San Mateo had 42 reported sales. Six of them had a List Price above $1,000,000. One of those six had a List Price over $2,000,000.
There were 91 total reported September Month-To-Date sales in these six communities.
- 46.15% of the reported sales (42) were in San Mateo.
- 13.19% of the reported sales (12 each) were in Belmont and Burlingame.
- 12.09% of the reported sales (11) were in Hillsborough.
- 38.46% of the reported sales (35) had a list price over $1,000,000
- 08.79% of the reported sales (8) had a list price over $2,000,000.
- 03.30% of the reported sales (3) had a list price over $3,000,000.
- 01.10% of the reported sales (1) had a list price over $4,000,000.
